Should we tell the truth?
The truth seems to be in short supply these day. I recently saw a very hurtful and condescending attack on a person who posted this quote. A noted pastor with no mission field experience called this “rubbish” because people tithe to churches with missionaries.
A simple Google search will show you that this statement is basically true. George Barna (noted american researcher) states that 8 billion dollars a year is spent on missions worldwide, while another 8 billion is spent having conference to TALK about missions. Ravenhill was not known for speaking off the cuff. I believe he was well aware of what he was saying.
